Admissions Process

Undergraduate Program in Economics and Management

Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM) in the academic year 2016/2017 announces the following CALL FOR ADMISSION for enrollment in the Undergraduate Program of Economics and Management in English language for acquiring the title of Baccalaureus / Baccalaurea of Economics (240 ECTS)

 

Entry Conditions
  • Finished four year high school
  • Passed ZSEM Entrance Exam
Admission for First-year Students

Admission Procedure:

  • Apply through the ZSEM website, www.zsem.hr
  • Submit documents listed in the Call for Admission for either the regular four-year study program, or the flexible one allowing studying alongside work. The degree obtained in both cases is BA in Economics (240 ECTS)
  • Take an Entrance Exam
  • ZSEM Matriculation

Documentation required for admission:

  • Copy of both sides of the ID card with a clearly visible photo
  • High school diploma (either original, or notary-approved copy)
  • Candidates who have completed high school outside Croatia submit a Decision on a Foreign Degree Validation issued by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports
  • Birth certificate (either original, or notary-approved copy, in Croatian or English)
  • Certificate of nationality (either original, or notary-approved copy, in Croatian or English)
  • CV
  • Two photos 4×6 cm
Admission for Transfer Students

Admission procedure

  • documentation submission to the ZSEM Teaching Committee
  • getting feedback on basis of the submitted written request
  • submission of documents needed for the admission
  • matriculation

Documentation required by the ZSEM Teaching Committee

  • written request
  • grade transcript or a copy of the student report booklet
  • curriculum
  • police clearance certificate
  • receipt for the payment of the application fee in the amount of 1,000 kunas (150EUR for students coming from foreign university)

Documentation required for admission:

  • Copy of both sides of the ID card with a clearly visible photo
  • High school diploma (either original, or notary-approved copy)
  • Candidates who have completed high school outside Croatia submit a Decision on a Foreign Degree Validation issued by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports

Documentation
  1. Completed on-line application form from the web page www.zsem.hr with obligatory writing of student’s e-mail address
  2. Transcript of records for all four years of high school and the final certificate (diploma) of education (in original or copy certified by notary public, Croatian or English)
  3. Officially certified translations of your high school transcript of records/diploma in English language if they are not originally issued in English or Croatian
  4. Candidates who have completed high school education in general, gymnasium and art secondary education programs outside Croatia need to bring Decision on recognition of a foreign education qualification issued by the Education and Teacher Training Agency. Candidates who have completed vocational secondary education programs outside of Croatia need to submit Decision on recognition of a foreign education qualification issued by the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education. ZSEM will enroll the student conditionally without the Decision of the above mentioned agencies in case the process is not completed, and after the completion of the procedure for recognition and receiving a positive Decision ZSEM will enroll the student regularly
  5. Passport copy with a clearly visible photography of the candidate
  6. Birth certificate translated in English by a certified translator if not originally issued in English or Croatian (in original or a certified copy by notary public)
  7. Certificate of nationality, only for Croatian citizens (in original or a certified copy by notary public)
  8. Curriculum vitae in English in Europass format
  9. Two photos size 4 x 6 cm 
  10. Receipt of paid application fee in amount of 150.00 Euro.
Entrance Exam

Your Entrance Exam score is based on the following:

  • Grade point average during four-year high school education
  • English test score
  • Math test score
  • Interview with the candidate
  • Essay

The  Economics and Management program in English most attracted me due to the large number of foreign students each semester which is always increasing. This gives me the opportunity to work in an international environment and meet other cultures and customs.
