Mentorship Program SPOT

If you've just enrolled at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management, and if you're not a resident of Zagreb, a big change awaits you. Student life outside your home town is a unique experience, in which you'll learn many new things, forge new friendships, of which many will last for a lifetime.
However, it isn't easy to just move to a new city, especially if that city is as big as Zagreb. The City of Zagreb, along with its metropolitan area, encompasses almost a quarter of Croatia's population; sometimes, moving to Zagreb can be a challenging experience.
For this very reason, the Zagreb School of Economics and Management maintains a program which seeks to make life a little easier for our incoming freshmen: the SPOT Program!
SPOT stands for: Students help (Pomažu), provide Orientation, and Train. Every freshman that joins the program receives a mentor, usually an upperclassman with outstanding grades. Where to eat in Zagreb, how to study, where to find additional study materials, how to navigate public transport... these are just some of the questions our mentors provide insight to. We often proudly state that student that are part, or were part of the SPOT Program have shown higher level of satisfaction with their studying experience at ZSEM, and many permanent friendships have developed through this program.
