As a participant in the 2015 Summer Negotiations program, I can really say that this program was academically and socially a real deal. The academic aspect of the program was completely fulfilling, with lectures by George Siedel from the University of Michigan and other prestigious lecturers. The program also involved trips to significant companies and factories in Croatia as well as a trip to the US embassy and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. Combining the theoretical knowledge gained from lectures and learning about the experiences companies go through has really given me a deeper vision of how negotiations are done in the true business world. As the program was held during the summer, it has also given participants and myself the opportunity to travel and meet new cultures as Croatia is one of Europe’s famous summer destinations. Although the program was only a week long, I can say that I learned a lot regarding negotiations and dispute resolutions as well as meeting friends for life from around the world. Read more...
